In case you didn't know, here are but a few reasons why you should introduce them to your kids now.⁣
⁣
Cashew nuts are a great source of⁣
✔️ Omega fats for brain development.⁣
✔️ Iron for babies (all your infant cereals, they are all fortified with iron)⁣
✔️ Copper (essential for iron absorption)⁣
✔️ Magnesium, and amino acids to power cell growth.⁣
⁣
Cashews can be used in many ways,⁣
⁣
𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝟔-𝟏𝟐 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬)⁣
it should be finely blended (cashew butter) and added to their purees and cereals, yogurt, etc.⁣
⁣
𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝟏𝟐 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟒 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝: ⁣
It should still be finely blended and add to their smoothies, soups,  etc. ⁣
It's also a great time to use as butter spread on bread, biscuits, muffins, pancakes, etc.⁣

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞⁣
1. Clean cashews properly.⁣
2. Soak in water for about 1-2 hours⁣
3. Place in a blender and add a little water, blend until smooth and creamy.⁣
4. Store in a refrigerator for up to 7 days⁣

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟⁣
1. Don't serve cashew whole nuts to avoid choking.⁣
2. Cashews are considered tree nuts, so they could be a potential allergen.⁣
3. Start a little, about 1/2 teaspoon and if there are no allergies, you can increase the amount gradually.⁣

1. Peel and cut bananas into small chunks⁣
2. Add a tablespoon of cashew butter⁣
3. Blend or mash until smooth.⁣

2. Add berry jam or any jam to sweeten (use jams that have no sugar added)⁣

  • Recipe for your 6 month old and the whole family 😀

It's so easy for your little one cos these just melts in the mouth😋

The Acha and ground flaxseed are powerful nutrient dense ingredients be sure to use them if you can.

Let's not talk to much stories here are the ingredients.

Ingredients
🥬 All purpose flour/any flour (1/2cup)
🥬 Acha flour (1/2 cup)
🥬 Ground flaxseed (1/4 cup)
🥬 Ginger powder (1/2 tsp)
🥬 Salt (1/4 tsp) for older kids & adults
🥬 Baking powder (1 tsp) for older kids and adults

🥬 Coconut milk or any milk (1 cup)
🥬 1 egg
🥬 Coconut oil/ melted butter (1tbsp)

Steps
1. Combine all the dry ingredients together.
2. Combine the wet ingredients together
3. Combine both dry and wet ingredients
4. Cut your banana into long stripes
5. Coat the banana generously with the pancake batter
6. Place on coated banana pieces on a lightly greased pan
7. Cook each side for about 3 mins

That's it we are done!!!

  • Here is a quick leftover combo you can try out today.

The fish and scrambled eggs does a good job making your kids eat the beans, this is if beans is not a favorite 😀

The ingredients needed most likely will be somewhere in your fridge so just get them out and whip this nutrient dense meal.

It's not everyday we have to cook from scratch 😜

For younger kids less than 1, you can make sure the fish and beans is very tender so you can mash with a fork for a puree like consistency.

Before I go ahead to how you can make it, let's discuss the milk we will be using.

First we will need whole or full cream milk, I know @peak_milk and @danomilkng have full cream milk. 
You can use powdered milk also, I have not tried with evaporated milk so I don’t know if it will work.

If using powdered, we will be using in the ratio 3:1 that is, 1 cup of powdered milk to 3 cups of water.

How you can use for cream cheese 

1. Use as a spread on breads, biscuits, pancakes etc
2. Blend with fruits or add to smoothies.
3. You can also use to bake 
3. You can add it to sauces also

With that said, here are the ingredients you will need

1. Milk ( full cream)
2. Lemon (2 tbsp)

Steps

🍒Pour milk into a deep sauce pan, if using powdered milk, add the water and make sure it dissolves properly.
🍒 Heat up the milk, using low heat. Once the temperature is bearable and not too hot,
🍒 Add the lemon juice or vinegar, stir in properly.
🍒 Allow the mixture to rest for about 3 mins for the milk to curdle and separate from the whey.
🍒 Sieve out as much whey as possible.
🍒Blend your cheese, you can add a little salt for older kids( I mean a tiny bit of salt)

You can store this in a refrigerator for 5-7days.

  • Infant Swallow Idea🚨

Try out this sweet potato and oat swallow for your 6 month old. Not every time amala, here is a good and nutritious swallow idea also.

It's quite simple, just blend your sweet potato and add oats flour and that's it.

A little about Psyllium husk.👇🏽

Psyllium is a form of fiber made from the husks of the Plantago ovata plant’s seeds.
It has lots of health benefits.
But for the purpose of this recipe, it's used to bind the potato mix. It's really not necessary to add as your swallow will still form bacause of the starch contained in the potato and oats.

This is a perfect meal to get your baby on the chubby lane because of the blend of high calorie foods.
High calorie foods have shown to be the best food for weight gain in babies.

This creamy and rich delicious meal can serve as a meal for your 6 month old.
It’s also a great side for your toddler.

I came up with this idea when my kids kept refusing to take avocados, I had to look for a way to include it into their meals.

Very quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients 
🥑 1 medium sized egg
🥑 1/2 avocado 
🥑 1/8 cup of milk

Steps
1. Break egg into a bowl
2. Add milk
3. Pour egg into the already heated oil in frying pan.
4. Allow the egg to set a-bit on very low heat so it won’t burn.
5. Once egg is a bit set, begin to break it up into scrambled egg and mix until properly cooked.
6. Pour scrambled egg into a bowl and set aside.
7. Cut avocado into small chunks and pour into a blender with a little salt, add a little olive oil and blend until smooth and creamy.
8. Pour the blended avocado into the scrambled eggs and mix properly.

This can go with toast bread, fries and ginger foods for your toddlers.

It’s appropriate as a stand-alone for your little baby.
